I love swinging on my front porch. I am obsessed with my trees and flowers. After a full night of rain, I woke to this tree the next morning. Immediately I was reminded of this verse. “I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”
Psalms 116:1-2 NLT (“He bends down to listen!”) This tree usually stands tall and proud all day every day. Except for the morning after the rain. Right there where I sit and swing it was bent right to me. I could reach out and touch the flowers. I just love it! Lessons learned in the “rainy” spots of life are priceless. I’m sure we have all had some rainy days. Doesn’t it make the sunshine that comes later seem brighter? During my sad, hard or painful moments I can rest in knowing, God is bending down to listen. How beautiful is his love! We can cry out to Him, because He is listening!
